80,000 hectare Cederberg Reserve; a world of stunning rock formations,
bushman caves and endless hiking trails. The area offers a solitude and gran-deur of ancient and mystical times where the soul breathes and heals.
Cederberg is home to the regal Cape Leopard as well as baboons and many small antelope. Birdlife is impressive with over 165 species including the Black Eagle. The Olifants River is a stones throw away.
Gecko Creek is self-catering and offers cabins and dens overlooking the valley. Facilites include a Lapa for gathering and cooking as well as a fire warmed open air Boma, stunning swimming pool and outstanding ablutions. The stars are like ‘diamonds on velvet’ with a shooting star every 15 minutes. It is the ideal hub for exploring the Cedarberg, only 6 km off the N7 and easily accessible. Activities
