The SUGARSHACK offers a relaxed but funky atmosphere where we specialise in personalized attention from our friendly African Staff. Sun, sea and some of the best surf in South Africa is right on our doorstep.

There is a selection of comfortable accommodation ranging from dorms, twins and doubles to camping. Our new double,triple and four bed rooms offer unbelievable value for money with their great views, secluded privacy and comfortable beds.

The convenient, comfortable service of the Baz Bus delivers you to and from our doorstep, or if you prefer, the main bus /coach station is right around the corner.we have high speed ADSL internet to facilitate easy and convenient communication with friends and family.

The Shacks adrenaline pumping activities are not to be missed!Our professional staff will guide you on our awesome daytrips.

SANDBOARDING on the near vertical dunes of Bonza Bay with coaching, all equipment and transport, cost only R75 (approx 12$).

Another brilliant day of adventure is HORSE RIDING THROUGH THE GAME PARK amongst wild Rhinoceros, Giraffe,Buffalo,Zebra and other wildlife with a professional game guide for only R160.00 (approx 26$)

For the adventurous there is a day of WATER SKIING, WAKEBOARDING and general water fun for R160.00 (approx 26$).Once again personal lessons are given by our expert staff.

The LION PARK offers you the chance to cuddle and interact with wild Lion cubs and sometimes Cheetahs and Tigers which makes for great photographs.The other wildlife is also awesome especially the baby Giraffe with the two foot blue tongue who insists on licking you hello! R75.00 (approx 12$). Other activities include cliffjumping,township tours and many more.

SURF LESSONS are offered directly in front of the Shack or at the pristine Nahoon beach. The first lesson costs R75.00 (approx 12$), and each lesson thereafter is halved in price! For those already addicted the legendary Nahoon Reef is just around the corner with its awesome power and huge long rides. Directly in front of the lodge is Easterns which offers amazing variety in most conditions with its peaky barrels out the back or its fun reforms on the inside. On the chance that these spots are not producing we drive you to one of the six pointbreaks within a thirty km radius of the lodge depending on where our local knowledge points us.

Rich in German and Dutch colonial history intermingled with a vibrant mix of African cultures, vibey East London is a town not to be missed.
