Buccaneers is considered by many to be the best backpackers in South Africa. Lonely Planet agrees. Spread out over 8 hectares of wild coastal forest and right on the stunning Chintsa beach, the location is superb. For many travellers it’s become a place to come home to, a legend in its own time.

There’s loads to do – trips to Inkwenkwezi where you can walk with elephants and see the Big 5, awesome beach horse rides and good surf spots on the stunning 17km beach. There’s a free activity everyday where you can chill out and meet the rest of the crew – helped with free wine. And there’s the lively bar with festive suppers, lunches at the gorgeous tropical pool, excellent� breakfasts and the legendary Saturday Xhosa dinner party.
We have superb sleep options with stunning sea views – camping, dorms, doubles and beautiful en suites.
